- Transparent, slow-drying ink pad - for stamping on absorbent, coated, or glossy papers as well as other surfaces.
- This VersaMark watermark ink pad has various effects:
- 1. On colored papers, the stamped design appears in a darker shade of the paper's color.
- 2. On white papers, the stamped design appears slightly transparent, similar to watermarked paper.
- 3. On Cromolux© papers, you achieve the effect that the stamped design remains in the original paper color, and the surrounding area can be colored. To do this, stamp the design and let it dry for at least 2 hours. Wipe off any residue not absorbed into the Cromolux© paper with an absorbent paper tissue. Then, roll colored ink onto it with a rubber roller. The ink will slowly be absorbed into the Cromolux© paper. The stamped areas will not absorb color and will remain in the original paper color.
- 4. Embossing effects - Since the drying time is relatively long, sometimes several hours, VersaMark is excellent for use with embossing powders.
- The drying time depends heavily on the individual paper quality. It absorbs faster into absorbent papers and therefore dries quicker, but it also needs some time for color change.
- For complete drying, VersaMark requires several hours, sometimes even several days. (Please do not stack the stamped or colored cards on top of each other, as the patterns could otherwise transfer to the cards underneath.)
- Slight, prolonged heating can shorten the drying time.
