The term Embossing comes from English and means Prägung (impression/relief).
Usually, a pattern/embossing is pressed/embossed into paper from the back to the front.
With the use of Embossing Melting Powders, you also achieve this raised effect/a kind of embossing, but much more simply and straightforwardly.

Product Description
Plastic powder that melts when heated, available in many shades and with artistic effects.
To be used for stamping in conjunction with embossing/pigment ink pads.
Versatile for artistic designs.

Areas of Application for the Stamping Technique:
After the stamp impression has been applied, sprinkle the Embossing Melting Powder generously over the still fresh impression.
A portion of the powder adheres to the stamp impression; pour any excess powder back into the bag/container.
By heating to approx. 120°C, you melt the powder into a plastically raised layer.
For melting, it is best to use a special embossing heat gun.
If this is not available, you can also generate heat with the help of a toaster or an oven.
(A normal hairdryer does not generate the necessary heat and is therefore not suitable.)
Shortly after the melting process, after a short cooling period, the Embossing Melting Powder hardens.
+++
The special - Pluster - Embossing Melting Powders - remain sticky/adhesive for a short time even after brief heating for a further application.
This gives you the option of sprinkling on Pluster powder several times and heating it several times.
With this special application, you can achieve very plastic structures.
Please note that you should not use too much heat during the individual melting processes, as otherwise the Pluster powder will overcook and thus reduce its adhesive properties.
We recommend a special embossing gun for processing, as this allows for precise dosing of the heat supply.
Pluster powder is not suitable for processing filigree stamp impressions, as the coarser-grained powder does not adhere well to filigree lines.

Areas of Application for Artistic Techniques:
Apply new effects in
- oil painting
- glass painting (e.g., window color)
- sand pictures
- snow globes
- adhesive techniques
Especially with the effective metallic Embossing Melting Powders, you can achieve fascinating results.

Areas of Application for the Stenciling Technique:
You can also use the various Embossing Melting Powders for the stenciling technique.
However, you should work a bit faster, as the larger areas to be processed mean that the colors will dry more quickly and therefore the powders will no longer be able to adhere.

Substrate Materials Used:
Since the Embossing Melting Powder adheres due to the stickiness of the stamped (or applied) ink, the actual nature of the base material is unimportant.
You can create the motif with the right
- Embossing / Pigment ink pads
- Embossing pens
- Oil paint crayons
- Oil paints
- Commercial adhesives
The applied powder is heated and melts - regardless of the substrate used.
The durability of the melted powder depends on the nature of the substrate material.
On papers, the powder adheres excellently, as it even absorbs somewhat into the paper during the melting process - the same applies to leather, wood, and craft foam.
When using on textiles, please note that after washing, the corresponding areas should not be ironed, as otherwise the powder will melt again.
On smooth materials (e.g., glass, tiles), please note that the powder is not scratch-resistant.

Melting Process:

By heating to approx. 120°C, the Embossing Melting Powder normally melts within a few seconds. This process is easy for you to observe visually, as the (matte) powder turns into a (glossy) melted line / surface.
If the temperature is too high or the heat exposure is too long, the powder liquefies and flows away. Therefore, only heat briefly at the correct temperature.
However, if the Embossing Melting Powder has not melted even after a few seconds (or minutes) (and the paper is already starting to get brown spots), the temperature is probably not set high enough.
+++
Some Embossing Melting Powders however - with too long heating - quickly run into untidy, blurred contours.
These very fast-flowing powders should not be used for contours in the coloring technique, as repeated heating will quickly cause the contours to bleed/run.
To still achieve your desired contour color, simply use a suitable colored / metallic pigment ink pad and transparent Embossing Melting Powder.

Drying time:
Immediately after the melting process - after a short cooling period - the Embossing Melting Powder is hardened.

Special Features:
The respective Embossing Melting Powders have different application characteristics.
Please refer to the description for the individual powder types (e.g., Pluster powder, thick-layer powder, detail powder, ...)
Always conduct tests with the materials and tools used first.

Lightfastness, Washability:
Embossing Melting Powders are almost lightfast.
After the melting process, slightly water-resistant, carefully washable.

Cleaning:
Wipe or vacuum away excess Embossing Melting Powder with a brush.
After heating, the powder forms a solid, plastic, and melted plastic layer.

Safety Features:
Please observe the specified product safety instructions

Storage Instructions:
Store Embossing Melting Powder dry and sealed.
Do not expose to direct sunlight and store at room temperature.
