These ink pads are equipped with a white felt plate and laminated with fine cotton fabric on the surface.

This is a qualitative difference to the - common - inexpensive ink pads,
which are offered with a cheap, soft sponge and undefinable Asian ink.

Drying time is highly dependent on the individual paper quality.
Absorbs into absorbent papers and is therefore sometimes quite fast drying.
